Trinity on Tour

tour
Manchester Trinity HC has formed a mixed tour team for the last 4 years. This year due to the closer ties with Manchester Moss Park HC a joint tour team has been created.

Over the last 4 years we have entered the team into the Blackpool Easter Hockey Festival, and several smaller one day tournaments in the Manchester area. Also in addition the tour team has formed the core of the mixed team that competes in the Greater Manchester Summer League (Mixed).

tour
When on tour the team enjoys a friendly mix of hockey, beer and comparing notes on the escapades from the night before (as no-one remembers it all!). Normally fancy dress is involved during the evening and this has been everything from swimmers to elves, and cleaners to Mexicans.

This year the team is entering several tournaments, all of which can be found below. If you fancy entering any of them, or even if you just fancy coming and having a few beers whilst shouting support (or abuse) from the sidelines give the tour captains a bell.

desperados
This year we went to Blackpool as The Desperados due to the kind sponsorship of Desperados. The team was highly successful off the pitch, with plenty of drinking frollicks and generally drunken behaviour.
Results on the pitch were however a little less successful, with the team coming second from last after a tense (fixed by the umpires) 3-3 draw in the final match. This was more than summed up by the fact our top goal scorer was only present for one of the four days.
However despite the lack of competitive success a great deal of fun was had by all despite the whole tour organisation going completely wrong in the week running up to the tour.
